Hello, my name is Jacqueline Moore.

· Born in Maine to a Navy family;  lived in the Bahama Islands, southern Maryland, Virginia Beach, Texas, and Italy

· First year teaching was 1989-90 in Norfolk, VA; worked nights as a DJ for an indie rock station

· Have lived in Takoma Park since 1992; split time between TkPK and Cobb Island, MD

· 1989 – Bachelor of Arts, Virginia Tech University, Elementary Education & a minor in History

· 1999 - Masters, Georgetown University, MALS, international affairs

· Started teaching at NCCES in 1996. 1996-7: fifth and sixth grade science; 1997-2001: fourth grade reading, language arts, and social studies; 2001-2002: third grade (all subjects); 2002-20016: fourth grade reading, language arts, social studies, and science

· Husband works at NASA and plays drums in a band called The Charm Offensive

· One pet, Captain, a 12+ year old pit bull-labrador retriever mix

· Spare time is spent reading, sailing, going to see/ hear bands, sailing, traveling, watching the Red Sox, and doing contract work & volunteering at the Smithsonian Institution
